The place is quick to attend, no problem with that, and the prices aren't so bad. The one thing I did notice is that they charged me before the service for a manicure set, however someone who got a pedicure was able to pay after their service was completed, which I understand different services. The person who did my nails looked like she was rushed leaving me with nails that still probably could've used another coating or even a better job. However, the moment she finished all she said was done and had stood up and walked towards the drying station. Was not given a proper moment to look at them, and was not assisted with even carrying my belongings knowing I had a manicure that still was not dry. As I was looking at them I noticed certain areas were missing nail polish and that on other parts you can see the darkness from my nails. As I mentioned I was not given a chance to say anything due to fact she left right away to do someone else's pedicure.
Reality vs inspo $90 worth of nails shouldn’t have been that price for the sloppy work. I had asked for the price beforehand and was quoted $65 but once I got to the register was told $90. Fees for overcharged basic nails. They did a good job on my toes but even that wouldn’t convince to go back with my final total being $145 and that’s without tip.
When I moved to Astoria, I was desperately searching for a reliable nail salon. My cousin, who grew up in the neighborhood, recommended this spot and assured me she had never had a bad experience here. (I’m from Kew Gardens, so I trusted her local knowledge!) I’ve now been coming here for 2 years - going on 3 and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve seen several different technicians - Emma, Ana, Jerry, and Lucas and every single one of them has been amazing. The quality is consistent no matter who you book with. On top of that, the owner is so kind and always accommodating whenever I call. This has truly become my go to salon and I can say it’s one of the best I’ve ever been to over the years throughout Queens. If you’re looking for a dependable place in Astoria for nails, this is it!
Been coming here on and off for 2 years. I only recently tried coming back because I have a gift card. Hard to get consistent service. Sometimes I love my nails and others times I absolutely hate them, like my pedicure today. My toes nails were cut (way too short) and shaped unevenly. Pedicure was very rushed. I made an appointment and had to wait 15 minutes and got seen after a walk in. I got a gel manicure less than week ago and it has fine line cracks all over them. They definitely thin their polish out. I loved my go to nail tech but stopped coming because of this. Ok in a pinch but definitely not first choice. It is a relatively clean salon. My boyfriend plays basketball and his gel manicures never last more than a day or two when he comes here as well. I did have good experience with brow waxing here.
